After meeting my future husband, Mr. Right, in college, we became fast friends. Eventually, that friendship turned into love. In October 2008 we celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary.
In 2001, I left my full-time job as a computer programmer turned project manager, to stay at home. I increased my volunteer involvement in the community, helped Mr. Right with his burgeoning business, and began fertility treatments. The fertility treatments paid off, and we have now have our adorable twins, who were born in 2003.
Politics is my passion. I was actively involved in the Republican Party on the county, district, and state levels for many years. I have served as a volunteer on many campaigns. Currently, I am one of the National Coordinators for Tea Party Patriots and one of the Co-Coordinators for the Atlanta Tea Party. Tea Party Patriots has truly taken over our lives. We are working to reclaim America’s founding principles. I do not blog as much as I used to because I am so involved with Tea Party Patriots.
In 2008, I began getting paid for my political consulting services for the first time. From 1992 until July, 2007, I volunteered my time and services. It was nice to earn money for something I love to do so much.
Since I had been a full-time volunteer and mother for 6 years, now trying to juggle a job while taking care of the children, keeping up with the household chores, and continuing to volunteer at some level was a bit of a challenge. Fortunately, with my husband’s help, I got into the swing of this new routine and it seems to be working well.
When I am not taking care of the house, the children, or politics, I volunteer in my community. Some of my volunteer activities have included: Junior Service League, Mothers of Multiples Club, PTA, Habitat for Humanity, Hands on Atlanta, church. My parents instilled a sense of community and volunteerism in me and I cannot imagine my life without volunteering in one way or another.
In my spare time, I like to read, scrapbook, & watch tv. I aspire to digiscrap but am not there yet. Creating Keepsakes puts on some fabulous conventions and I have been to 2 of these and one CKU. Mr. Right and I have had tivo since 2000 and we would give up the microwave before we give up our tivo boxes. While reading political books and blogs is a good way to become informed and I read a lot of those, I also enjoy reading light fiction that I can pick up and put down quickly as called for by the more important demands of life.
I have been blogging for a couple of years and really enjoy it. Please feel free to let me know your thoughts about the site so that I can improve it as I go. Thanks!

So the teabagging started in college. Huh!

To the Eddies : I think you drank the tea. On teabagging; it shows the how stupid they believe voters to be. It was funny to hear Anderson Cooper miserably fail trying to slip teabagging into his propaganda err I mean his”reporting.” It also shows the current disinformation tactics that the liberal left use to cover up the facts. Don’t pay attention to this, look over there it’s a joke!!
Don’t drink the tea, think for yourself.

Hi Jen! I am excited to find another Tea Party advocate—-and contrary to popular belief by the CNN watchers & regular Kool-Aid reporting from the current admin’s news system, history does repeat itself. People are realizing that the redistribution of wealth will fail us all; and when “we the people” have less freedom and liberty, we all lose. The only ones with liberty aplenty are the ones who aren’t part of the work force. Just my perspective…..since my wealth is being redistributed at an alarming rate! Whew! Clean house and every other political office!! Could you please convo me—-I’m also in the ATL. Take care and hope to hear from you soon! Keep up the great writing and hopefully the other folks leaving comments will stop for a moment and realize that they are the ones who drank the Kool-Aid. Not us. Long may our beautiful flag wave! Your friend, Reb
