Almost a year ago, I wrote a post called Make Yourself Into a Cartoon. I did it on a whim to illustrate what BeFunky’s website can do. Never in a million years did I imagine that it would be as popular as it is. Almost everyday, it is one of my top posts. (BTW, you can see another example of making yourself into a cartoon with my Palin Cartoon post.)
I also have a Printable Chore Chart for Kids that gets a pretty decent amount of traffic. My Twitter for Dummies Part 1 and Twitter for Dummies Part 2 also gets a good bit of traffic. I spent a lot of time on the Twitter posts and when I published them there were hardly any other Twitter for Beginners articles. So, the traffic those receive is not too surprising.
Do you have posts that you are surprised receive the amount of traffic that they do? Do you have posts that you spent a lot of time on that receive no traffic? My twitter “how to” posts get an amazing amount of traffic but the one that got the most of late was a one line blog post expressing my disgust that the a high profile court case was being updated on Twitter – I must have worded it just right for the search engines to pick it up for all the people looking for a link to the updates – instead they got a telling off from me – kind of funny!
