On Saturday, my younger brother is getting married. I have two brothers and since I am the oldest I refer to them as my younger brother and my youngest brother. So, younger brother Jon is getting married. He is 35 years old and has never been married. He is so excited to have finally found the woman of his dreams. Here in my house, we are incredibly excited for him.
The engagement period has been rather short so BusyBoy and GigglyGirl have not yet met their aunt-to-be. As soon as they found out they were getting a new aunt they asked a million questions. My mom emailed a couple of photos of Jon and his Bride-to-Be. Both children thought she is “beautiful” and “very pretty.”
We have discussed how welcome Aunt Dayna will be in our family. Each night during our evening prayers, we tell God what we are thankful for that day. Many times, BusyBoy and GigglyGirl are thankful for a particular toy. Often they are thankful for each other, Mr. Right, and me, which always fills my heart with joy. Sometimes one of them says they are thankful for God Himself. That one always makes me smile thinking that it must also fill God’s heart with joy. Well, lately BusyBoy has said he is thankful for Dayna every night. GigglyGirl has started saying that she is thankful for Dayna as well. The other night, BusyBoy and GigglyGirl said when they meet Dayna they are going to hug her and tell her they lover her.
Welcome to the family, Aunt-to-Be Dayna! We are already thankful to have you in our family. We wish you and Jon the very best in your marriage!
