Candied Sweet Potato Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 medium sweet potatoes
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
Directions
- Cook sweet potatoes covered in boiling water until tender, 20 – 25 minutes.
- Drain.
- Cool slightly.
- Peel.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Cut potatoes into ½ inch thick slices.
- In a casserole dish, layer half the sweet potatoes, half the brown sugar, and half the butter.
- Repeat layers.
- Bake until potatoes are glazed, about 30 – 35 minutes. 1 or 2 times during cooking, spoon glaze over potatoes.
