This week has been a crazy, busy, and exhausting week. In fact the last few weeks have been that way. The children have been such troopers. They have had to go with me to see clients and as I have volunteered at the local county Republican Party HQ. They have been patient and well-behaved (at least for the most part). So, tomorrow, I am going to give them a little fun.
I think we will bake a cake. They take after their mom and love licking the bowl. Personally, I think the batter is the best part of the cake. I am looking through a few recipes and will have to decide exactly what to bake. I am leaning towards either a Gooey Butter Cake (which is Paula Deen’s recipe) or a Banana Cardamom Cake. I’ll take a photo of whatever the end product is and let you see how it turns out.

I remember the first time you tasted cake batter. You were about 2 1/2 years old. You didn’t want to taste it, but I insisted. You screamed, then suddenly a big smile brightened your face and you couldn’t get enough. (The rest, they say, is history. . . .)
