Menu Plan Monday

August 18th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Better late than never, right?  As I post this, Monday is almost over.  At least I have a plan for food the rest of the week.  While GigglyGirl was doing her ballet this afternoon, BusyBoy became ill in the car.  He has had a cold and it seems his coughing made him sick to his stomach.  Ugh!  Cleaning him, his soiled clothes, and his car seat kind of put a crimp in our evening plans.  He was feeling much better before bed and wanted to stall bedtime by doing his homework, which is not due until Friday.

My dad is having MAJOR foot surgery tomorrow (Tuesday morning).  They are moving the tendon from his big toe to his heel.  I had ankle surgery several years ago and it the pain from it was 100 times worse than the c-section from the twins.  His surgery is much more involved than mine was so I know he is going to be in a great deal of pain.  Please keep him, his surgery, and his recovery in your prayers.

Alas, here is this week’s menu plan!

Monday:  BusyBoy was feeling a bit under the weather this afternoon so he and GigglyGirl just had pasta.  Mr. Right and I had takeout.

Tuesday:  Taco Salad made with Turkey Chili (This has been on the menu twice recently and I have not made it.  This time I am bound and determined to make it and have enough leftover to freeze!)

Wednesday:  Cubed Steak, Mr. Right’s Signature Potato Casserole, and broccoli

Thursday:  Chicken and Squash Bake (I just saw this recipe today.  Man does it look good or what!  I hope it is half as delicious and it looks!!)

Friday:  Breakfast for Dinner – French Toast

Saturday:  Leftover Buffet

    Hi.

I popped in to have a look-see at your menu. I didn’t plan a left-over meal, for dinner, so I could use the leftover for lunches… we’ll see how that works out, as I get started.

I didn’t get mine up, at all, last week.. so yes, better late than never on my part, too.

I think Breakfast for dinner is my favorite meal of all time. I’m going to plan to share your listed potato casserole in an upcoming menu. Yum!

Thanks for stopping by my new blog.
