So many headers are too generic or trendy or just not indicative of what the site's really about, but I have to say that the flags in yours are just a bit too much for me. I'm glad you're patriotic, and I would describe myself as patriotic, too, but when I see that in your header, I'm expecting your site to be more focused on military-type things than I think you are. If "patriotic" is your number one characteristic, then it's great. I do like how some sites change their headers monthly or less frequently. Have you considered that? With a rotating header you could use several different images that reflect your personality, rather than getting pideon-holed, perhaps. I love seeing new, original headers.
