I’ve been out campaigning for Mike Huckabee in Georgia. Here is a video of where I was yesterday. My good friend from Ground Floor Video created this after we got home last night! From my best calculations, Gov. Huckabee spoke to a combined total of roughly 10,000 people in Georgia yesterday at his various campaign stops.

Mr. Right and I will support the Republican nominee, whoever that is ultimately. Originally, we supported Fred Thompson but his campaign was a flop from the time he announced his candidacy. For many conservatives, including us, there is not one candidate with whom we agree on all the issues. You have to pick the person with whom you agree the most and go from there.
For now, tomorrow on Super Tuesday, we plan to vote for Mike Huckabee.
-
Huckabee is in favor of reforming the current tax code and implementing the Fair Tax. I sincerely believe that for true reform to happen to the current tax code, it will only happen if there is a President who supports this reform and leads the country to make the change happen.
-
Mike Huckabee wants America to be safe from terrorists and will keep fighting until we achieve victory.
-
Huckabee says he will appoint judges who interpret the constitution according to its original meaning and do not create laws on the bench. We have a three branch system of government in America to make sure there is a balance of powers. It is my opinion that when judges create laws sitting on the bench, they are violating our checks and balances system of government.
-
Huckabee is a likeable, personable candidate with a good sense of humor who could use the bully pulpit of the Presidency to lead our country.

Summary and Details of 2008 Candidates on the Issues I really like this website. It shows graphically where each candidate falls on the issues (center, right, left, far right, far left) in a grid. It also has a calculator/quiz to help you decide who you most closely align with.
If you are in a Super Tuesday Primary state, please get out exercise your right vote.

Listen up, ONLY a vote for MITT ROMNEY in Republican primaries is a vote AGAINST MCCAIN, a loser that is being aggressively imposed on us by the establishment and the “mainstream” media. By casting your vote on ANY OTHER candidate you will be helping MCCAIN to win the Republican nomination.

Jon,
Thanks for commenting on my site. I appreciate your sentiment about Romney being a vote against McCain. Believe me, my husband and I have gone back and forth over the past couple of weeks about who to vote for. In Georgia, Huckabee has been polling 9 – 12 points ahead of both Romney and McCain. Huckabee spoke to roughly 8,000 people at a megachurch in Georgia yesterday. Right now, I think he has a better chance in Georgia of beating McCain than Romney.
Just for the record, I do not have anything against Romney. I like his most of his stances on the issues. The one thing I like more about Huckabee than Romney is that Huckabee has a bit more dynamic personality than Romney.

Why didn’t Jen try some genuine research before she threw her support behind someone she obviously doesn’t know?

Georgia is only one state. All of the polls show that nationally Huckabee has no chance for the republican nomination and that Romney does have a chance. Romney is now surging in California giving us our only chance to defeat Mccain. Thus the reasoning that a vote for Huckabee is a vote for John “LIBERAL” Mccain. GO MITT!!!!!

Winghunter,
I looked at the links to your blog and I can’t figure you out.
You rant about McCain, Romney, Huckabee, and anybody else who crosses your radar. Are you actually for anyone or just against everyone?
And, based on reading your blog, may I recommend that you see someone about getting a prescription for some sort of anti-psychotic anxiety medication?

McCain, Huckabee Worst Picks for Evangelicals
MEDIA ADVISORY, Feb. 4 /Christian Newswire/ — The Reverend Rob Schenck (pronounced SHANK), in his capacity as a private citizen, today released this statement regarding tomorrow’s primary votes:
“I have spent the last 33 years as an active evangelical Christian. I am an ordained evangelical minister. I graduated from an evangelical Bible college and an evangelical seminary. I serve on the board of America’s oldest association of evangelical church leaders, and I head one of the most active evangelical ministries in Washington, DC.
“I have thought long and hard about the upcoming elections. I have prayed earnestly about them, and I have met many of the candidates and their top campaign people and I have studied their platforms and policy proposals.
“After careful and prayerful consideration, I have concluded that an evangelical vote for Mike Huckabee is a vote for John McCain, and a vote for John McCain will be a disaster for this country.
“Let me explain. It’s clear to me and many others that Mike Huckabee is not broadening his appeal enough to win the primary. Therefore, his only contribution is to siphon off votes, giving McCain a clear path to victory. It’s very possible Huckabee is being positioned to be John McCain’s pick for vice president. In order to win, McCain needs Mike Huckabee and the evangelical votes he brings with him. The specter of a McCain-Huckabee ticket is bad for evangelicals.
“McCain is proud of his signature accomplishment, the McCain-Feingold law co-authored with liberal Democrat senator Russ Feingold. McCain-Feingold severely limits the First Amendment rights of evangelicals. McCain will use this law as the litmus test for his Supreme Court nominees. If a judge is likely to be against McCain’s unconstitutional law, McCain will not nominate him. Make no mistake about it, constitutional originalist judges will be against McCain-Feingold. These same judges will also be pro-life, for traditional marriage and for the public acknowledgment of God.
“Only liberal judges will support McCain-Feingold. They will also be pro-abortion, anti-traditional marriage and against the public acknowledgement of God. So, with a McCain-Huckabee administration, or with a McCain-anyone administration, we get the wrong judges. Most distressing, we get the wrong justices on the U.S. Supreme Court.”Evangelicals must consider both the stakes and the realities in this election. Mike Huckabee’s continuation only helps John McCain. The consequences are just too great to take this risk. A McCain victory will hurt this country because of the long-term damage of the wrong judges and justices. Worse, McCain’s court legacy will continue to hurt our children and our grandchildren, perhaps even our great grandchildren.
“Evangelicals must choose wisely from among candidates other than Mike Huckabee and John McCain as they vote tomorrow, February 5.
“For identification purposes only, the Reverend Rob Schenck (pronounced SHANK) is president of Faith and Action in the Nation’s Capital, chairman of the Committee on Church and Society for the Evangelical Church Alliance and co-founder of the annual National Memorial for the Pre-born and their Mothers and Fathers, the only pro-life worship service held inside the U.S. Capitol complex in Washington, DC.
It’s time to Rally to Romney so we can block McCain!

Hi JB – took the Calculator test and Huckabee was the recommendation. Of couse you know we already voted for Mitt.
Don’t know yet what to do if McVain wins. Follow Ann Coulter (ha ha) and vote Her Highness or Obambi?
Let’s hope Mitt pulls an NY Giants 4th quarter win.
The national polls are all over the map and I question who they are asking. The feeling that the cell phone generation is not being polled sounds true. I see more people daily who don’t know what a home phone is.
Like your blog, too. Nice clean setup. As usual you are too organized! Say hello to Mr Right.
Tonight will be interesting.
