While there might not be a Bible verse that is for gestational surrogacy, I doubt there is one that condemns it either

My heart agrees with you but i struggle finding a biblical blessing to be a surrogate. It didn't turn out so well for Sarah and that is the only biblical model I can find. It is so heavy on my heart to be a surrogate and be a part of Gods plan to help bless a Christian couple but I need to know that it is biblical not just my will. Can anyone help with this? I would be so grateful!

Thank you for this great article! I've thought and prayed about becoming a surrogate for a little over three years now. Just in the past 3 months it has been pressing hard upon my heart to do this. My husband and I own a baby boutique, so I get the pleasure of seeing expectant moms come in all the time. One day a mom-to-be and her surrogate stopped by. It was neat to talk with them and to see the joy on each of their faces.

I pray that as my husband and I enter this new journey that we're able to be strong witnesses for Christ. Christ works in such amazing ways and I do believe that He uses all situations to bring Him glory! I'm firm in my pro-life stance with the agency that we're working with and they highly respect that. I have not been able to find a lot of positive christian views regarding surrogates online but my family and husband are very supportive.

I have been considering gestational surrogacy for another Christian couple who wants to have a baby. It's something I have prayed about.
I've seen friends who are infertile go through HELL, and the anguish they feel is evident in every area of their lives. It's a hopelessness that no one else can understand.
I don't think I'd personally want to bring a baby into a home where the prospective parents don't put God first, but that's just me. I do, however, feel that, after knowing the joy of motherhood and seeing my boys grow and thrive under my love and care, I can't imagine not desiring to help another Christian woman experience that life-changing love.
It's something I think about (literally) every day. I don't feel that there's anything wrong with helping a couple grow their family and help them birth THEIR OWN baby.
