This past weekend, Mr. Right and I pulled out the Christmas Tree and the decorations. We have one of the truly AWESOME artificial trees that are pre-lit and assemble in 4 easy pieces. It is the greatest artificial tree we have ever had.
This year for the first time GigglyGirl and BusyBoy were actually a H U G E help decorating the tree. What normally takes me several hours to decorate went twice as fast this year. BusyBoy and GigglyGirl had so much fun looking at each ornament as we unwrapped it from the tissue paper. They had a little trouble figuring out how to decorate the whole tree rather than just 5 or 6 branches. Some of the ornaments will probably fall off over the next month. But all of this is OK, in fact it is great! We will just put the ornaments back on as needed. So what if the some of the branches are full, full, full of ornaments and others are a bit more scarce?! They had fun!
We all had fun! It was so exciting to me to see how much fun they were having! I LOVED it!
BusyBoy stopped decorating about 30 minutes before GigglyGirl and I finished. He found some toy soldier ornaments and decided that they needed to be played with rather than put on the tree. After playing with them for about 30 minutes, he asked if they could stay off the tree instead of being used as decorations. I told him that he could play with them all day everyday if he wanted as long as he put them back on the tree each time he was done. This seemed to satisfy him.
After Mr. Right brought up all the boxes of Christmas decorations and took lots of photos of the us decorating the tree, he made homemade pizza for us. So after decorating the tree, we had delicious, hot homemade pizza! YUM!!
While Mr. Right and I still have to decorate the outside and switch out the Christmas china, we accomplished a lot and had a fun time doing it!
It was a great day!

Sounds like a fun and festive night! So where are the photos? Isn’t it great having a husband who likes to cook? Mine would definitely rather cook than help decorate the tree.
